If you know me, follow me on Last.FM or any other profile, then you probably know I have a thing fro female-fronted music. There's something exciting yet calming about it; from a capella (yes, it's written separated) to symphonic metal.

Women are able to (besides all things they do and deal with) put beauty into effort and dedication into beauty. It's like if they worked art even on the simplest of things.

Women are artists by default (in one way or another) and, being an art lover, I must appreciate women.

I'm frequently checking out what's new on Jamendo ever since I discovered Sean Fournier, who has turned to be one of my favorite independent artists.  On my visit today, I found two jewels.

One of the jewels found today on Jamendo is Hungry Lucy's Pulse Of The Earth, a Creative Commons-licensed album. Beautiful work. (track and artwork below). You can download the entire album for free on Jamendo by following this link.

Next is Kendra Springer, she is a pianist and currently holds the #1 spot on the most played tracks list with "Hope" which is also the album title. It's one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. It's also a Creative Commons-licensed album.

Since both of the album licenses permit sharing as long as it's not commercial and I give attribution, I'm going to share two of the songs I like the most with you.  You can download the full albums on Jamendo.

UNPLANNED: Equipaje Tribute Myspace

You know, I should be doing more productive stuff other than Putting up myspace accounts for bands that are separated or designing this things. But, since my current client hasn't given me some vital information (for his project, that is) I need in order to continue working, I decided to take an hour or my spare time and put up a myspace for a dead band that I liked 4 years ago.

Why in the world did I do this? "There are so many good bands lacking of good and custom layout and you come up with a layout for a dead band? WTF is wrong with you?" you might say, BUT, I needed something to be distracted with in that exact moment. Plus, no other band has contacted me to work on their myspace. So, there.

By the way, this is my first design in spanish in a looooong time!!

Anyway, yea, I did put up a myspace account for an old band and you're free to be their friend and criticize my quickie by clicking following this link: http://www.myspace.com/equipaje

Who are they? A local band that I supported back in their days, who is dead, who rocked live and who who can listen to below.

Sooo, that. I'll see what you think in the comments section.

C.

Alejandro DM - Let It Be

Let it be is the new track by DJ/Producer Alejandro Taveras, better known as Alejandro DM.
The track has been done for quite a while now, but was made available only as a preview on Last.FM and on his live gigs. Now you can enjoy it too and do so for free.
In this track he features a collaboration by DJ Haniels that adds a little spice to it.
As his friend, I've decided to re-name the track and release it to the public, which, obviously he agreed to before I posted this.
Now, enjoy and share.

Little Majorette - London

"Next time you're in London, next time you're in London, next time you're in London..."

In case you have no idea of what I'm talking about, that's the chorus for Little Majorette's new single. It's titled "London".

Little Majorette is a band that combines Bossa Nova, Lounge and Jazz to create an unique blend of sound that will leave you wanting more.

I found out about Little Majorette thanks to Zoe Durrant, who is one of my favorite singers. She is the vocalist on the track called "This World is Watching Me", a versus between Armin Van Buuren (My Favorite Trance DJ/Producer) and Rank 1, featuring Kush (Where Zoe Durrant was the vocalist). I'm glad that Zoe contines to do great music.

You can find more about Little Majorette and Zoe's music by visiting Little Majorette's MySpace, by joining their FaceBook group and by becoming a fan on FaceBook.

And, since I'm trying to be nice, you can listen to the single below and buy it here: http://indiestore.7digital.com/littlemajorette/

Carl Sagan Ft. Stephen Hawking- Glorious Dawn (Cosmos Remix)

"If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe."
~ Carl Sagan.

I'm not much of an astronomy person, yet I like to learn new things. Recently I've been diggin deeper into Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking, thanks to two friends of mine. Recently I've found about Sagan's ironic thoughts of life and the big influence he has had on astronomy. I'll soon start reading a book from him, as soon school and project let me, that is.

However, there is one thing I am: An Electronic Music Lover! Specially Ambient. So, put those two together: Electronic music and Astronomy, what will you get? A really interested Chris!
Thanks to my new friend, Ania "Awesome" Faery, I've found this track I'd like to share with all of you:

Currently listening: @seanfournier edition.

Every once in a while I type in from my iPhone with an attached screenshot. This time, I want to type in about musician/designer/ Twitter-user Sean Fournier.

Sean fournier is an excellent musician. He makes his own music and makes it vailable via Internet for free. And as I type this post, I'm listening to his music which is quite enjoyable.

His current album is titled "Oh My" and it's available for download on www.sean-fournier.com . The album was produced in such a great way that I doubt you'll find another album like this one.

Go check him out to his website (posted above) or follow him on Twitter at www.twitter.com/seanfournier .

Take care,
C.
